Trickle down health effects! You are the whole package – thoughts, feelings, actions. You can’t take action until you’ve actually formed a thought, and being in a clear frame of mind is a key ingredient to making any valuable change in your life. Once you decide that you are ‘ready,’ and only you can make this decision, you can move to the next step of being ‘willing’. Easy to say but not so easy to do. That’s where I come in…
My personal experience over the years includes stopping smoking (yes a tough one but the best decision I ever made); maintaining a healthy weight for me by establishing a regular exercise routine (lots of different ways to do this) and wholesome eating habits (real food and all things in moderation); a major career change resulting from the negative effects of stress and wanting to challenge myself to create new pathways in my life; stress resilience because let’s face it, stress is part of life; healthy personal and working relationships (always two sides to a coin). These experiences have given me a wide ranging perspective that allows me to look through a lens that encourages bio-individuality and creating your unique lifestyle, because there is no ‘one size fits all’ – how boring would that be?
Think about it! Setting an initial goal starting with a small change that you feel can be sustainable and consistent will set you up for success over the long term. I share this personal information so that you know that I am the ‘real deal’ and strive to ‘walk the walk’ every day, not just ‘talk the talk’ (lots of that going around). Whatever you choose is attainable if you start small and build from there.
